Professional Counseling Associate
Rose Otter, MA, PCA
Rose has spent much of her professional life in the perinatal world - starting as a birth doula. She now holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bushnell University and is so excited to support new families in this deep and meaningful way.

Licensed Professional Counselor
Kathryn Maitas, MA, LPC
Kathryn Maitas is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Since graduating in 2021, she has worked in nonprofit, criminal justice, and private practice settings, supporting adults through a wide range of life experiences and challenges.
Kathryn is bilingual in English and Spanish and has experience working with adults navigating anxiety, mood concerns, trauma, and life transitions. At the heart of Kathryn’s approach is the belief that therapy should be a place where people can show up as they are and feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Her approach is
person-centered and trauma-informed, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other evidence-based practices. Her style is warm,
collaborative, and nonjudgmental, and she works to create a trusting relationship where clients can explore their experiences with
curiosity and compassion while developing practical tools for meaningful change.
As a mother of three, Kathryn has a personal appreciation for just how transformative the experience of pregnancy, postpartum, and raising children can be. She understands that motherhood can hold so many things at once—joy and love alongside overwhelm, uncertainty, grief, anxiety, and enormous change. She has a deep respect for the maternal experience and is passionate about supporting women through all of its complexities.
Kathryn is currently pursuing specialized training toward her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) and is thrilled to join
Genesis Perinatal and support women and families throughout the Rogue Valley.
